Tabletop Exercises & Emergency Drills

Most tabletop exercises are glorified discussions. Participants talk through a scenario, assume unlimited resources, and leave feeling confident without ever being tested. Northline Readiness runs a different kind of exercise.

ICS-Based Tabletop Exercises

Our proprietary tabletop system is an instructor-led operational simulation built around real Incident Command System (ICS) structure. Participants make real decisions under real constraints: finite resources, realistic time delays, and information asymmetry between agencies. Every decision is tracked, every resource is accountable, and the exercise generates its own After Action Report as a byproduct of play.

Full-Scale Exercises

When your organization is ready to move beyond the table, we design and manage full-scale exercises that put your plans, people, and equipment to the test in real-world conditions. We offer optional geospatial intelligence packages including aerial capture, 360-degree documentation, and realistic 3D after-action walkthroughs. Replay decisions, resource movements, and timeline gaps in an interactive environment.

Functional Exercises

Test specific functions of your emergency plan — communications, evacuation, hazmat response, mass casualty triage — without the full deployment of a full-scale exercise. Functional exercises identify procedural gaps and training needs in a controlled setting.

Remote Exercise Facilitation

Not every organization needs boots on the ground. We deliver full exercise planning, facilitation, and debriefs remotely with the same rigor and scoring as our on-site engagements. Our remote platform uses advanced simulation tools to realistically model hazardous releases and emergency scenarios. We serve clients globally across any time zone.

After-Action Reports

Every exercise produces a detailed After Action Report with findings tied to specific ICS positions, plan sections, and regulatory standards. Findings feed directly into your Readiness Score and improvement tracking. 3D exercise walkthroughs and annotated timelines bring lessons learned to life for leadership and training purposes.

Exercise Types We Facilitate

Hazardous materials release scenarios, fire and explosion response, active threat and lockdown, severe weather and natural disaster, mass casualty incidents, evacuation and shelter-in-place, infrastructure failure and utility outage, cyber-incident response, pandemic and public health emergencies. Each scenario is tailored to your facility, hazard profile, and actual resource capabilities.
